The Wedding Singer: Behind the Curtain
This is a self-produced, behind-the-scenes documentary project of North Central College’s student-directed production of the musical The Wedding Singer in early 2011. I conducted interviews with the cast and crew and took photos and video of the process from the first rehearsal to the final bows.
Interviews: choreographer Tommy Rivera-Vega, co-directors Kaylee Oost and Aileen Rak, music director Taylor Martin, and stage manager Curtis Stelter.
The videos I produced from the project are here, which include song rehearsals, a dining hall flash-mob, and a promotional trailer for the show. The original blog is here, complete with photos and journalistic narratives that tell the story of how the musical came to life over two months’ time.
